Centre clears Rs. 2,200-cr Highway Project

Hubli Hospet Highway Project
The government has recently cleared a mega road project running between Hubballi and Hospet, commanding a length of 143 km by converting the existing National Highway-63 into a four-lane carriageway at an investment of Rs. 2,200cr. The project in question will be completed in three years as the much-awaited project bringing cheer among the people of North Karnataka, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will lay the foundation stone for the project to build the first cemented four-lane highway in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. The project will also help people quickly reach Koppal, Gadag and other places and the project will also play a significant role in connecting Ankola and Belikeri fort, General Manager, National Highways Authority of India,Dharwad, Lt. Col. A K Janbaz said, adding that for the proposed project, NHAI already completed land acquisition and it is a smooth affair, as there will be no problem in fast tracking the mega road project.
