Centre clears flurry of ring road projects in Telangana

The Central government has given administrative sanction for score of National Highway projects, which have already been approved by the state and had sought clearance from the Central government. The state also requested for clearance and special funds for the 338 km four-lane regional ring road around Hyderabad that will connect Sangareddy, Narsapur, Toopran, Gajwel, Jagdevpur, Bhongir, Choutuppal, Ibrahimpatnam, Chevella, Shankarpally and Kandi. The projects, which have been cleared by the central government included Jadcherla-Deverakonda section of NH 167, a four-lane flyover on NH-163 at Amberpet, and the Siricilla-Kamareddy-Yellareddy highway, said an official spokesperson.
