Central Railway kick-start work on Mehakari River Bridge
The Central Railway has recently started laying the girders at on one of the biggest bridges across Mehakari river connecting Ahmednagar-Parli-Vaijanath areas with the rail network, said an official spokesperson, elaborating that the laying of steel girders at the height of 30m started recently by the construction team of Ahmednagar. The bridge in question falls on the new railway track being laid by the Central railway in Maharashtra. He said adding that the bridge in question across Mehakari river is known as Mehakari bridge, which is about 457m in length and the biggest in the Central Railways rail network.
