CCI Approves Citrus Investment’s Stake Increase in Hitachi Construction Machinery and Control of HCJI

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition by Citrus Investment LLC of an additional 0.4% stake in Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd (HCM) and the acquisition of sole control over its joint venture HCJI Holdings K K (HCJI).

The transaction includes Citrus increasing its shareholding in HCM through market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, along with acquiring full control of HCJI through a share buyback of the remaining 50% stake.

Citrus operates as an investment vehicle and is not engaged in any other business activities. HCM is a listed company involved in manufacturing construction equipment, while HCJI functions as a holding entity for shares in HCM.
