In a recent development in the metro and rail sector, the Cabinet has approved extension of metro rail network from Noida City Centre to Sector-62 entailing an investment of Rs. 1,967 crore. The total length of the stretch of the project in question bordering Ghaziabad in UP commands a length of 6.675 kms and is aimed at providing transport facilities to a large number of people living in Noida, besides catering to residents of close-by areas of Ghaziabad. Among others, the extended length will also cater to the ever expanding commercial and educational and allied facilities.
