Assam to Get ₹80,000 Cr Road Projects: Nitin Gadkari

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that road projects worth ₹80,000 crore will soon commence in Assam. Key projects include a tunnel under the Brahmaputra River, an elevated corridor at Kaziranga National Park, and the Guwahati Ring Road.

Speaking at Advantage Assam 2.0, Gadkari highlighted that his ministry will complete projects worth ₹3 lakh crore in the state by 2029. Currently, work on ₹60,000 crore worth of projects is underway. The multi-modal logistics hub at Jogighopa is nearly complete and will be operational soon.
