APIIC allots 2,600-acre for ₹15,000-cr infra projects

Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC)
Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has allotted about 2,600 acres of land for four major projects being set up by Bharath Electronics Limited (BEL), National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics (NACEN), APADE Park and Kia Motors India. These companies are investing ₹15,000 crore in four projects. APIIC Chairperson RK Roja said that the nodal agency is committed to the industrialization of the district. The Industrial projects would have a cascading effect on the industrialization with a host of ancillary industries, and generate huge employment opportunities. APIIC is currently carrying out the groundwork to cater to industrialization of the state by creating a land bank and all infrastructure facilities and amenities relating to the new projects. Hindupur, Puttaparthi, Rapthadu and Madakasira had been zeroed on for establishing industrial estates in 400 acres in the four constituencies and about 1,700 acres of land had been pooled to accommodate new projects.
