APCRDA launches new road widening project

Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority
Aimed at providing widened road connectivity to Amaravati from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and Roads and Buildings (R and B) jointly decided to widen the road stretch between Tadikonda and Thullur. In this connection, a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed project will be readied and execution of the same will start shortly. The existing road will be extended till the E9 Road, which is being developed in the capital region. As it doesn‘t need land acquisition, it would not just lessen the burden of the state government but would also ensure smooth execution of the project. About 25 km of the road would be widened into a four-lane one. The road extension will help the commuters from Guntur, who travels to the capital via Mangalagiri currently, to directly reach Amaravati, the official sources insisted.
