AP launches Rs. 2.25 lakh-cr infra projects

In its quest to build world class infrastructure across the state, the state government in Andhra Pradesh has launched Rs. 2.25 lakh-cr projects in the state, Union Urban Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, adding that this amount included Central government's financial package and also those projects, which have been sanctioned and those proposed or are in the pipeline to date. He said the Centre had already sanctioned Rs 1.65 lakh-cr for implementing various schemes and projects in the state and another Rs 60 lakh-cr would be provided for the projects which are proposed or are currently in the pipeline. The minister also explained how and when the central assistance was provided to the state. Andhra Pradesh is currently enjoying special focus, special treatment and special assistance as large number of industries would come up in the state due to the measures being taken by the Centre and it would lead to huge job generation.
