AP kick-starts Rs.150 cr flyover at NAD Cross Roads

The Andhra Pradesh govt has started the construction work on the flyover project at NAD Cross Roads involving an investment of Rs.150 crore, Vice-Chairman, Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority, Basanth Kumar said adding that the project will be completed within the stipulated time. The project is being built under unique rotary mode, which is the first of its kind in the country. The precast pillars are being made at Vepagunta in three acres of land. Before finally launching the flyover project, VUDA discussed with various experts and other departments, including APEPDCL, railways and others to build a facility ensuring a hassle-free construction without causing any hardship to road users and general public alike. NAD Cross Roads is one of the busiest junctions in the city and thousands have been facing tough times particularly during peak hours, he added.
