The state water resources department of Andhra Pradesh has floated tenders for Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project Tunnel-2, involving an investment of ₹553.13 crore, for which bids will be received till October 9. Tenders will be opened on October 11 and the complete process will be conducted on the same day. It may be recalled that the state government had cancelled the contract with Rithwik Projects as it failed to complete the assigned contract as per the terms and conditions. The state government has decided to go for reverse tendering to speed up the project and minimize project cost.
