AP announces Rs.1200 cr road network
The state government in Andhra Pradesh has recently released Rs.1200 crore for taking up the construction work of rural link roads, said state Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. The state government has resolved to provide rural infrastructure and welfare schemes are also being implemented on war footing, he added. The woks relating to construction of four-lane road between Machilipatnam and Kathipudi on NH-216 is currently in full swing and this would help road connectivity to Krishna and Visakhapatnam districts. Apart from this, the sanctioning of Kotipalli – Narasapur railway line would spur development of Koonaseema area for having rail connectivity. Works of Kotipalli- Narsapur railway line has already been started and the construction of bridge between Kotipalli and Mukteswaram under Sagaramala project will go a long way to provide connectivity to Kakinada port and the move will go a long way to lift economic activities in the entire region.
