Andhra Pradesh to Develop 10,200 km of State Highways Through PPP Model

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced plans to develop 10,200 km of state highways under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved the proposal during a review meeting with officials from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department. This marks the first time that state highways will be developed using the PPP model in the state.
In the initial phase, 18 roads covering 1,307 km will be constructed. The chief minister has directed officials to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) and begin work promptly. He expressed confidence that, just as the PPP model has been well-received for national highways, the same positive response will be seen for state highways if high-quality roads are delivered.
