Adani Group bags ₹1,546-cr roads & highways projects

Adani Group
The Adani Enterprises led consortium has received a letter of award (LoA) for road contracts from NHAI involving an investment of ₹1,546.31 crore. With the newest cache, the Group has a total of four road projects under Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) spanning the states of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The recent project involves six-laning of 17.88 km of the Vijaywada Bypass from Gollapudi to Chinakakani, which includes a major bridge across River Krishna in Vijayawada Gundugolanu section of NH-16. The total construction period of the project is 2.5 years and the operation period is 15 years. The addition of lanes will ease traffic congestion for vehicles travelling to Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad as they would be able to bypass Vijayawada. The project, which was pending for the last 10 years, will bring development to the Amaravati region.
