The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has set aside an ambitious amount worth 4,100 crore for building necessary infrastructure this fiscal across airports in the county. In the process, it will also undertake an airport service quality (ASQ) survey to be carried out by the Airports Council International, the global trade representative of the world's airport authorities at the top 20 airports. In this connection, the memorandum of understanding has already been signed between Civil Aviation Secretary R N Choubey and Chairman of the AAI Guruprasad Mohapatra. The parameters and targets include all the major areas of the AAI, including finance, capacity utilization, research and development, project implementation, human resource and cargo. In addition, it has also agreed upon to set a target to utilize 94 per cent of its total passenger capacity at its airports, besides, an HR audit will be carried out at its airports to strengthen its human resource, said an official spokesperson.
