AAI floats tenders for ₹382 cr terminal building in Pune

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is going ahead with the award of the contract for the construction of the new integrated terminal building at Lohegaon airport at an investment of ₹382 crore. The construction work involves building of the new structure towards the eastern side of the existing terminal building including reconstruction of the existing terminal structure and modification of the expanded terminal building of the airport, AAI, chairman, Guruprasad Mohapatra said that AAI last year appointed Egis of France as the consultant for the new terminal building project. The total area of the new terminal building will be 64,300 sqm and the work will be completed 2021. A building on the left side of the existing terminal will be integrated and re-built and it is also a part of the terminal building but is being used as offices for employees as of now. The space will increase and teething issues that passengers face will be addressed.
