AAI cracks Kangra airport expansion in Himachal Pradesh

Airport Projects
Officials of the HP government recently initiated a 30-acre land acquisition for extension of the Kangra airport in Dharamshala to facilitate 180-seater airbuses. Currently, the airport can handle only small 80-seater planes, said Tourism and Civil Aviation additional chief secretary Ram Subhag Singh. The airport also lacks night landing facilities. The expansion will also lead to cuts in air fares, thereby giving a boost to tourism in the state.
