AAI building air bridges at Pune airport

AAI
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Pune, will build three new air bridges at the Lohegaon airport in the city, informed airport director Ajay Kumar. The material will be supplied by M/s Adalte and tunneling will be carried out by BMEL near Bengaluru, under the Make in India initiative. The work of these air bridges has begun and is likely to be completed by June, post which trials will begin. The AAI Pune has already received construction materials for starting work on the tunnels. Various passengers have earlier taken to social media complaining about lack of basic facilities at the city airport, prompting the authorities to fast track the air bridges, which will connect the aircraft with the terminal, enabling passengers to embark and disembark smoothly.
