Amarnath Ramachandran, ARX Mining & Construction Equipment
We see exciting times ahead and look forward to consolidating our product portfolio and machine reliability to compete with the best. We are here for long-term growth and will keep developing niche products with competitive features.
Amarnath Ramachandran Managing Director

We will be introducing our all-new Motor Grader, Blasthole Drill, and Dust Suppression Sprayer at Excon.
We are a greenfield start-up incorporated in March 2019; so, 4 of our 6 machines will be new product launches. The Arx G3200 Motor Grader of 32-tons is a very large grader with a 310 hp engine and an 18 feet moldboard. It is ideal for haul road maintenance in mines with large dump trucks, for construction, and canal sites with very heavy earthwork. Our Arx G1000 Motor Grader of 11 tons is the smallest in our range with a BS IV 120 hp engine and a 10 feet moldboard. It is designed for small roads, plantations, and for shoulder work on highways.

ARX Mining & Construction Equipment
The Arx G3300 self-propelled, heavy-duty 6-8” crawler-mounted Blasthole Drilling Rig is capable of drilling 6 – 8” direct rotary / DTH. It is fitted with a Volvo D5 / Cummins QSB 6.7 engine of 173 BHP and has a heavy-duty box type derrick. It combines the best features of a piling rig (with slew arrangement) and is capable of drilling three holes in a single location. Since the traction speed is twice that of conventional drills, productivity is very high. It is fitted with an Atlas Copco XRH 1100 / 300 screw compressor and a 3-rod Lazy Susan type Carousel Rod changer. It has a fork chuck, break out wrench, water injection pump, dust collector, variable fan drive system, micro feed system with holdback, and a drill efficiency indicator.

The Arx S1200 Dust Suppression Sprayer is a truck-mounted unit with a slave engine and a pump drive system that sprays atomized water (mist) to a distance of 120 m. This machine can be used to suppress dust without creating a slushy mess as is often the case with sprinkler trucks. It can be used in mines, cities, ports etc.

Arx has procured IP rights to design, modify, and manufacture Indital range of products from Kalmar–Cargotec Group of Finland.
The Indital range comprises of six large Forklifts of 10 to 35 tons; two Empty Container Lift trucks (adaptation of 12 ton and 16 ton fork lifts); one Empty Container Reach stacker of 8 ton capacity; and a model of a fully loaded Reach Stacker. The Indital range will be marketed and serviced exclusively by Kalmar-Cargotec, both in India and overseas. These products are used for marine application and the heavy forklifts are also used for steel coil handling.

All ARX machines have a single build and can be used locally as well as globally with a few changes as per the emission norms.
ARX has a manufacturing facility in the KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board) in Narasapura Industrial area. Our product portfolio includes Motor Graders, Drills, Dust Suppressors, and Cargo Handling equipment. Arx also represents Hiab in its Government business operations. This is for sale of knuckle boom cranes and hook lifters in the Defence sector.

Very heavy-duty automatic powershift and CVT transmissions are from ZF and the axles are of Germany’s NAF and Kessler. Controllers and displays are from Cobo, Ennovation. Engines are from Cummins, Volvo Penta, and Scania. State-of-the-art, ergonomic cabins are designed in Italy to minimize operator fatigue.

Our machines have GPS monitoring of parameters, faults, and geo location. Collision avoidance systems and brake by wire from Safim, Italy, to ensure safety on site is available as an option. Our larger machines will be upgraded over a period of time to become fully autonomous vehicles (driverless).

Our focus is on ergonomics, CVT drives to reduce fuel consumption by at least 20–25%, site safety by using a brake-by-wire system, where the hydraulic brake actuation is assisted by electronic proportional signals from a radar sensor, which will automatically slow down the machine if an obstacle is detected.

After validating our base machines in various areas of India, ARX will commence exports. We design and build machines with pride in India. We also plan to bring a few select companies to India to manufacture their entire machines at our plant.
