What new strategies is Schwing Stetter India working on to drive sales of XCMG excavators?
We have a three-pronged strategy to drive sales of our 7-10-20 ton class of excavators. One is having a stronger focus on customer service. The second is by further leveraging our engineering expertise to improve the design and functionality of our excavators. The third is to start a marketing campaign to inform customers about the competitive benefits of our excavators.

We also plan to widen our presence in the bigger capacity (30-35 ton) excavators in the mining industry. For this, we will target key decision-makers in the industry to showcase the performance, efficiency, productivity, and safety of our excavators in various mining applications.

We will also drive sales by promoting the versatility of our excavators, especially the 20-ton and above class, through their range of attachments, which make the machines flexible enough to operate in various application conditions. Our excavators can work in construction, mining, forestry etc with attachments that are designed to be easily interchangeable. This makes it easy for operators to switch between different tasks.

What value engineering is being done in the excavators?
Our manufacturing unit has advanced designing and engineering technologies to create excavators that can meet the most complex job applications. Our excavators are being developed to deliver higher productivity along with operator comfort in ergonomically designed cabins and with advanced controls.

We have made significant improvements in the aggregates used in our excavators to ensure their higher availability with minimal breakdowns during operation. We understand the needs of big quarry owners and contractors and our priority is to deliver machines that are reliable and efficient. To ensure their availability, we have implemented a comprehensive maintenance and repair program so that our excavators are always in top condition. Our aim is to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

What enhanced customer service is the company offering?
We are increasing our product availability by expanding our distribution network and are investing in technology that offers remote support and maintenance. We are also providing customers with a total cost of ownership analysis to demonstrate the long-term value and benefits of our excavators. Our aim is to offer comprehensive support and services and thereby establish a long-term relationship with our customers.
