As urban India is moving increasingly towards vertical spaces, the KONE N MiniSpace has been made more suitable for taller buildings. It can now travel up to a maximum of 135 m (as against 100 m earlier) and has an increased speed of 2.5 m/s, to ensure smoother and faster people flow.

Regenerative Drive Technology

KONE N MiniSpace™ is not just people flow friendly, but also extremely eco-friendly. KONE in India

KONE’s presence in India dates to 1984, and today, it is serving customers across the country’s fast-growing cities through its 40+ branches. Its production unit in Chennai produces elevators for the Indian market as well as for Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and manufactures components for modernization projects in other Asian-Pacific markets such as Australia, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. Exploring New Markets

Seeing the potential for its premium quality products in Sri Lanka’s growing building construction industry, KONE has expanded its operations in the country through a distribution agreement with Scan Engineering (P) Limited, which has over 10 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing elevators and escalators. KONE is providing elevators, escalators as well as maintenance and upgradation services in Sri Lanka, and is looking for similar business opportunities in other markets as well.
