The first edition of the biannual International Sourcing Exposition for Elevators & Escalators 2020 (ISEE) is scheduled to be held from 6 - 8 May 2021 at Hall 4, at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The first edition of ISEE will be owned and managed by TAK Expo Pvt Ltd. This entity shall launch events and programs primarily to benefit the elevator industry.

The primary objective of ISEE is to curate and establish an event that is Of the Industry, By the Industry, For the Industry

ISEE has received support from several trade associations, namely, Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat (CTBUH India), International Association of Elevator Consultants (IAEC), Fire and Safety Association of India (FSAI), Karnataka Elevator Manufacturers Association (KEMA), and Delhi Elevator Association (DEA), etc. The show is also supported by TAK Consulting Pvt Ltd and the Elevator and Escalator Safety Trust. The show is also supported by Education Partners like LiftInstituut Solutions and Global Academy.

Interface Data and Design; a company with over 2 decades of experience in the exhibition, event and registration management space is extending support to TAK Expo to manage ISEE. Interface Data and Design will also bring in the cutting-edge technologies to enhance thevisitors’ experience and value add to the exhibitors.

The show concept is focused towards enhancing visitor experience and expectations. Participating OEMs and component suppliers have been selected after due process, and from exhibitors’ perspective, to maximize time with their customer group, exhibitors from each category will be limited.

To regulate the quality of visitors, a nominal entry fee will be charged, which will be donated to EEST (a registered charity entity with 80G benefits). A special training room will hold need-based certification programs for industry professionals and end-users. Multiple panel discussions will be held to strengthen the collaboration between the E&E industry and realty industry constituents. Another special feature of the show will be a dedicated “Aesthetics Pavilion”; domain experts with specialization in the diverse aspects that go into making an aesthetic elevator (or escalator) like fixtures, displays, wall paneling, glass, IoT mirrors, lighting, flooring etc. have collaborated in conceptualizing and developing this pavilion.

To acknowledge the first exhibitors, ISEE has created a group called the First Exhibitors who will be given prominence and preference in all of ISEE’s publicity, advertising material and sponsorship opportunities. The confirmed First Exhibitors to date include segment leaders like Avire, Apson, Bharat Bijlee, City Lifts, Echar Elevators, Eskay Elevators, Esquire, Johnson Lifts, Kinetic, Oleo, Otis, Naman Steel, Schmersal, Standard Elevators, Toshiba, Wittur, etc. The show will also witness International pavilions from Germany, Turkey , Italy and USA.

G. Shanker, Marketing Intelligent Specialist at ISEE, said, “The launch of ISEE is an excellent development for the E&E industry in India. The exposition will showcase the industry’s strengths in the manufacturing space as well as facilitate technology flow. The recent turbulence caused by trade frictions in the international arena may lead to new manufacturing opportunities for Indian component manufacturers.”

Trevor Rodericks, a veritable encyclopedia of the Elevator Industry, commented, “The new venture will definitely help the Elevator and Escalator Industry as well as guide users of this fast-developing requirement.”
