In order to provide top-class road network across the hill state at a faster pace, U’khand Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has directed agencies including the Public Works Department to conduct frequent quality checks ensuring quality construction of the road stretches crisscrossing Uttarakhand state. He also directed highways building nodal agency to speed up the construction work on the widening of Dehradun-Haridwar national highway project. The district magistrates of Dehradun and Haridwar, who were present at the recently called meeting, have been assigned the task of making energy department officials to remove high-tension wires on the route as quickly as possible as these lines have been creating hurdles in fast tracking the construction work on the national highway stretch, said official sources.
