CSIR-NIScPR Releases Report on Human-Centred AI for Sustainable Energy
Titled Human-Centered AI and Sustainable Development: Holistic Pathways for Energy Security, the report outlines how artificial intelligence can strengthen smart grids, accelerate renewable energy integration, improve predictive maintenance and support decentralised energy systems while promoting responsible and inclusive AI governance.
The report advocates a human-centred approach to AI, emphasising ethical safeguards, human oversight, sustainability and responsible governance. It also highlights the M.A.N.A.V. framework for responsible AI, unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, as a guiding framework for AI development and deployment.
During her lecture on "Key Trends Shaping the Tech Frontiers", Debjani Ghosh highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence, digital innovation and frontier technologies in shaping India's technology ecosystem. She stressed the importance of trusted AI, collaborative governance, digital talent development and innovation-led partnerships to support sustainable and inclusive technological advancement.
The event brought together scientists, researchers, academicians and students to discuss AI governance, responsible innovation and the role of science-policy research in supporting India's digital transformation.
