PWD plans multiple road infra projects in Delhi

PWD Delhi
Public Works Department has planned three major roads infra projects including extending the current Punjabi Bagh flyover, building an elevated corridor from Anand Vihar to the Apsara border, and construction of underpasses close to the Haiderpur-Badli Metro Station. The elevated corridor will have flyovers at Surya Nagar and Ramprastha traffic intersections to cater to traffic flow from Vivek Vihar, Surya Nagar and Ramprastha Colony. The 1.4 km long flyover would begin close to Anand Vihar, which is a key transit hub because of the Interstate Bus Terminus and railroad station. Additionally, it serves as the primary highway from northeast Delhi to Noida and Ghaziabad as a result of which the volume of traffic has gone up dramatically.

The department will build two ramps in addition to the elevated corridor to give direct access to the flyover. Under the flyover, there are three significant intersections: two between Vivek Vihar and Surya Nagar, and one at the intersection of Ramprastha Colony. PWD will build two flyovers, four U-turns, a wider sidewalk, and an expanded pedestrian tunnel at Punjabi Bagh.
