Centre sanctions ₹587.10-cr for road project in Odisha
The Central government has sanctioned ₹587.10 crore for the construction of a bypass road in Jharsuguda areas of Odisha. The project involves construction of 31.24 km long Jharsuguda Bypass on NH-49 in the state. Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari informed that the road stretch will also have an elephant underpass for safe movement of wildlife in the surrounding areas. The bypass road will be laid on a patch stretching from Budhipadar locality up to Patrapali as the survey for construction of the road has been completed and work will start shortly, he added.
