Odisha Gets Rs 1,698 Crore PMGSY IV Roads to Boost Rural Connectivity

Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Phase IV of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Odisha, with approval for 827 new rural roads spanning 1,701.84 km at a cost of Rs 1,698.04 crore.

The projects aim to enhance rural connectivity across remote and hilly regions, improving access to markets, healthcare, education and employment opportunities. The initiative is expected to strengthen last-mile connectivity and support inclusive development across the state.

The approval was handed over in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, marking a significant step in expanding rural road infrastructure and integrating underserved areas into the mainstream economy.
