NHAI invites bids for ₹1,394-cr Varanasi-Kolkata highway

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the construction of a six-lane Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway (Package 11) under Bharatmala Pariyojana in Jharkhand. The project will be implemented on the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and involves the construction of a greenfield highway from Donoreshan village to the junction with NH-20 in Bongabar village, spanning 36.9 km. The total investment for this project is ₹1,394.36 crore and the last date for bid submission is February 28, 2023. This project is expected to improve connectivity and reduce travel time between Varanasi, Ranchi and Kolkata.
