MoRTH approves ₹3,760.64-cr projects in Gujarat

The Union government has sanctioned 34 national highway works in Gujarat ₹3,760.64 crore investment. The projects will spur economic activity, besides ensuring hassle free traveling facilities to the road users.

The 12.8km stretch of road from Narol circle to Ujala circle in Ahmedabad will be developed at a cost of ₹350 crore and a 5.28km long section from Vishala circle to Ujala circle will be built as an elevated corridor. A sum of ₹110 crore will be spent on constructing three flyovers between the Iskcon and Sanand flyovers and they will have a length of four km.

₹254 crore has been sanctioned for a 50-km stretch of road between Amreli and Mahuva. Similarly, the existing road between Amreli and Baghda will be widened at ₹451 crore. Consultants for preparing DPR for all the national highway projects have been selected and construction work will begin shortly.
