More than 100 roads blocked in HP due to heavy rain
More than 100 roads, including National Highway 305, were blocked in Himachal Pradesh due to rainfall and 12 water supply schemes have also been disrupted. The state has been battered by heavy rainfall for the past several weeks and suffered great loss of life as well as property in various rain-related incidents. Monetary loss is expected to reach nearly Rs 12,000 crore. The hill state has also imposed a two-week ban on hill cutting, fresh building permissions for commercial or tourism units in Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, Solan and Chamba districts.
