Kochi to get Angamaly-Kundannoor new bypass

The Union Transport Ministry
The Union Transport Ministry is set to approve Angamaly-Kundannoor, a new bypass road for the Kochi city, and the 3A notification for land acquisition for the highway is being issued soon. The alignment of the 44km long bypass road was approved by the NHAI in January 2023. The road will start from Kariyamparambu in the northern side of Angamaly town and end at Kundannoor Junction on NH 66, which is going to be developed into a six-lane highway. A total of 280 hectares from 17 villages in the district would be acquired for the project. Revenue authorities are planning to complete the land acquisition procedures by the end of this year.
