IRB Infrastructure Trust has commenced toll collection on the Ganga Expressway Group 1 BOT project through its special purpose vehicle, Meerut Budaun Expressway Ltd, effective May 17, 2026.

With the start of tolling operations, all projects under IRB Infrastructure Trust, sponsored by IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, have become revenue-generating assets.

The project was originally secured by IRB Infrastructure Developers and later transferred to the private InvIT structure. The concession agreement for the project was signed with UPEIDA in June 2021.

IRB Group said it has invested around Rs 25,000 crore across five highway projects in Uttar Pradesh, including three BOT and two TOT projects, all of which are now operational. Besides the Ganga Expressway project, the portfolio includes the Agra–Etawah, Hapur–Moradabad, Lucknow–Ayodhya–Gorakhpur and Lucknow–Sultanpur corridors.
