In its quest to build top-class rail network across the state, the Railway Minister recently laid the foundation stone of 20 projects in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, which also included a rail line in naxal infected Gadchiroli district, the first time in the region. Nagpur is an important centre and the government is focused on this region is increasing day by day and with this score of problems of farmers in the area will also be addressed by the state administration and Railways jointly. The state government will set up logistic parks to address the problems of farmers, said official sources, claiming that the railway also flagged off weekly Ajni-Pune air-conditioned superfast express and also announced two new fully air-conditioned trains Nagpur-Amritsar-Nagpur superfast express (weekly) and Pune–Amravati–Pune superfast express with the same frequency.
