Pune Govt Allocates ₹140 Cr for Katraj-Kondhwa Road Widening

PMC
The Pune government has allocated ₹140 crore to acquire land for the widening of the Katraj-Kondhwa Road, revitalizing hopes for the project's swift advancement. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) faced a setback as most landowners demanded cash compensation. The project, initially slated for completion by March 2025, received ₹200 crore in state funds earlier, with ₹48 crore already utilized.

The Katraj-Kondhwa Road, which includes areas like Rajas Society, Khadi Machine Chowk, and the newly merged Pisoli area, has seen delays, frustrating commuters who are urging the civic body to expedite the work.
