The National Highways Authority of India

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has received bids from 10 infrastructure firms for the 88-km Agra-Gwalior high-speed corridor, to be built under the build-operate-transfer model at an estimated cost of ₹4,613 crore. Key bidders include IRB Infrastructure Developers, Adani Enterprises, PNC Infratech, and Dilip Buildcon.

The six-lane corridor will run from Deori in Agra to Susera in Gwalior, significantly improving connectivity to tourist sites like the Taj Mahal and Gwalior Fort. As part of India's eight national high-speed corridors, the project will more than double capacity on the Agra-Gwalior stretch of NH-44. Fully access-controlled, it is expected to cut travel distance by 7% and reduce travel time by 50%, lowering logistics costs.
