Indian Railways Approves Daily Mumbai-Sawantwadi Road Express to Boost Konkan Connectivity

The train will operate daily as Train No. 15087 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Sawantwadi Road Express and Train No. 15088 Sawantwadi Road-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Express.
The service will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Valivade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Sawantwadi Road, providing seamless connectivity between Mumbai and key towns along the Konkan coast.
The new daily train is expected to boost tourism to the region's beaches, forts, temples and eco-tourism destinations while offering a faster and more convenient travel option for passengers. It will also enhance mobility, support local businesses and improve rail connectivity across Maharashtra's Konkan region.
