YEIDA plans Transport Nagar on 1,500-acre land in Noida
The Yamuna Expressway Infrastructure Development Authority has planned to build infrastructure for Transport Nagar in Greater Noida near the upcoming international airport in Jewar. CEO Dr Arun Vir Singh informed that the project spreads across 1,500 acres of land and the facility have multi-modal connectivity to the international airport. An entire sector will be dedicated to building Transport Nagar, while an inter-state bus terminus will also be a part of the project housing inter-state bus terminus in the vicinity and people coming from other states and cities will be able to reach the airport with ease. Several big-ticket projects like Film City and Aerotropolis among others are also coming up in the area. The proposed Transport Nagar in Sector 23C of YEIDA area will also have connectivity to Metro and pod taxis. The Yamuna Expressway Authority will soon prepare the detailed project report for the project, which would cater to truckers, transporters and bus operators. As of now, travelling to other states is a cumbersome task and requires people to go to Delhi or Ghaziabad to catch a bus. The Authority plans to connect the airport with as many transport modes as possible including the upcoming Delhi Mumbai expressway.
