The announcement was made during the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus stand and other development projects at Dharmapura village in Hiriyur taluk. The new bus stand will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore.
The government has prioritised irrigation works and initiated measures to fill lakes in Dharmapura hobli. The development programme also covers projects aimed at improving public infrastructure and services in the constituency.
