PM launches ₹2,950-cr infra projects in Manipur

Prime Minister laid the foundation stones of multiple projects from road infrastructure, urban development, housing and drinking water supply worth ₹2,950 crore in Manipur. He laid the foundation stones for the construction of five National Highways to be built at around ₹1,700 crore investment. The construction of these highways with a cumulative length of more than 110 km will be a major step to improve road connectivity. Another important infrastructure project that will enhance seamless year-round connectivity to Silchar from Imphal and reduce traffic congestion is the construction of Steel Bridge over Barak River on NH-37 to be built at a cost of over ₹75 crore. The PM dedicated 2,387 mobile towers of around ₹1,100 crore to the people of Manipur to boost mobile connectivity across the state. He also laid the foundation stone of 'State of the Art Cancer Hospital' in Imphal worth around ₹160 crore to be built on PPP model. He inaugurated the New Integrated Terminal Building of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport as well.
