Omaxe Limited has planned to develop multiple construction and infrastructure projects in Dwarka sub city in Southwest Delhi entailing ₹2,100 crore investment. It has acquired 50.40-acre land from DDA and will build indoor and outdoor sports facilities including a cricket stadium and commercial complex. Chairman, Omaxe, Rohtas Goel, informed that the company has won the bid to develop commercial complex to provide experience in shopping, dining, sports, retail spaces and allied activities and the project will be the first sports facility to be developed by DDA in PPP model. The project is located next to the upcoming India International Convention Centre (IICC), a flagship project of the Central government, being developed to create a state-of-the-art and world-class exhibition and convention centre to promote meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibition (MICE) activities in India. It will be a marquee project facilitating the sports infrastructure at par with global standards.
