Philippsthal, Hesse-based crane service provider H&S Autokrane has further strengthened its fleet with the addition of a new Tadano AC 4.080-1, marking its third Tadano crane out of five in operation.

The new crane was officially handed over by Tadano Sales Manager Helge Prüfer to H&S Autokrane Managing Director Matthias Schug during a ceremony in Lauf. Schug expressed strong confidence in the machine’s performance, calling it “the gold standard in the 80-tonne class.”

“With its 60-meter main boom and compact dimensions, the AC 4.080-1 is simply a great crane,” Schug said, highlighting its flexibility and efficiency. He praised the crane’s ability to carry a large portion of its counterweight onboard, enabling it to function as a highly cost-effective taxi crane for a wide range of lifting jobs.

Equipped with Tadano’s IC-1 Plus control system, the AC 4.080-1 allows operators to use the crane’s maximum lifting capacity at all times, often eliminating the need for a separate counterweight truck, making it both practical and economical for daily operations.

H&S ordered the crane with practically the full equipment package – including the Surround View camera system, which makes the machine very easy to position in tight spaces. In short: For the intended application areas – such as refineries or steel-frame construction projects – the crane is, in Matthias Schug’s view, simply the best overall package on the market. But it’s not just about the product itself. The H&S managing director is also very happy with the service: “Tadano really looks after me. Helge is great to deal with. He’s a perfect fit for us, both professionally and personally. And that’s another reason why we are always happy to go with Tadano.”
