ArcelorMittal has announced three major renewable energy projects in India, totalling 1 GW of solar and wind capacity, with an investment commitment of $900 million. The new projects include a 36 MW solar plant in Amaravati, Maharashtra; a 400 MW solar project with 500 MWh battery storage in Bikaner, Rajasthan; and a hybrid installation in Bachau, Gujarat, comprising 250 MW wind, 300 MW solar, and 300 MWh battery storage.

Once operational, these projects will double ArcelorMittal’s renewable energy capacity in India to 2 GW, contributing to the company’s global green energy portfolio of 3.3 GW.
