Noida International Airport Operations Begin, Set to Boost Real Estate and Economic Growth

The first commercial flight, operated by IndiGo from Lucknow, landed at the airport on Monday, officially launching operations at the greenfield aviation hub in Jewar. Developed to ease traffic at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, the facility is also expected to emerge as a major passenger, cargo and business hub for northern India.
According to real estate industry leaders, the airport will strengthen regional connectivity, attract investments in industrial and commercial developments, and enhance the appeal of Noida as a destination for businesses and homebuyers.
Vikas Bhasin, Managing Director, Saya Group, said the airport's operationalisation will accelerate the development of economic zones, industrial hubs and IT parks, further strengthening Noida's position as a preferred destination for employment, housing and investment.
Jash Panchamia, Executive Director, Jaypee Infratech Limited, noted that the airport places Noida on par with Gurugram in terms of aviation connectivity and is expected to drive demand from multinational companies, Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and homebuyers seeking well-planned infrastructure and strong connectivity.
The launch of Noida International Airport is expected to play a key role in transforming the region into a major economic and logistics hub while supporting long-term growth in the real estate sector.
