SSAB focuses on value addition in it special steel offerings to OEMs
SSAB Swedish Steel India to Focus on Value Addition
Swedish Steel manufacturing entity, owners of the Hardox, Weldox and Domex brand of steel will look for value addition in its products. This was said by Mr. Vinit Jagtap, Regional Sales Manager, India, SSAB APAC.
He further stated, "we make steel available entirely based on the requirements of the standards of the OEM's. The gauges of the steel are prepared much in accordance with the job site requirements. Based on the ever changing requirements of the OEM's, we look to value-add in terms of design sourced from our global operations and from our R&D centre based in Sweden."
He explained, "Adding value to steel in the form of giving desired cut shape and other attributes is our main motto. Based on the same, we work with local partners." SSAB distributes its steel both from its end and that also through its selected channel partners. SSAB's customer includes Volvo, JCB, Komatsu, Hyundai, and others. The company has presence in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi & Kolkata.
