ZF, a leading automotive supplier for Driveline and Chassis Technology has its presence in India for over three decades since it forged joint ventures and license agreements. Although the company delivers complete driveline systems but at Excon, ZF’s focus will be to exhibit backhoe and wheel loader components, which can of course only be an extract of our entire product portfolio said the company official adding that participation in the mega event will help the company immensely as it is exceedingly increasing its services and presence in India. Currently, ZF service centers are located in Pune, Raipur, Bangalore and has dealership location in Delhi and the company is going all out to quicken its response time matching field requirements. It is quite evident that the Indian market is one of the key strategic market areas for ZF and the group has chalked out an ambitious plan for the country.
ZF started its wholly owned subsidiary, ZF India Private Limited in 2007 and has its local headquarter in Pune representing ZF’s varied product divisions for sales, localization and product support activities. The group’s Off-road drive-line business unit has already started its local production in Pune for axle and transmission aggregates for the Construction Equipment sectors. Since early this year, axles and power-shift transmissions for backhoe loaders are produced from this location for key OEMs in India and overseas. It has also decided for the localization of other drive-line aggregates including wheel loader axles. Recently, the group’s Commercial & Special Drive-line technology division has inaugurated their plant in Pune for the manufacturing of Truck gearboxes.
