Hilti's Post Installed Reinforcement Connections Strengthening Metro Rail
Hilti India a 100% subsidiary of Hilti Schaan AG was established in India in the year 1997 to cater the ever increasing needs of the Infrastructure segment in India. With a strong work force of 700+ members Hilti caters to the Fastening and Demolition sector of the construction Industry with its strong service support network spread over the length and breadth of the country.

The Hilti HIT Rebar Design, a method to complement the placement of Post Installed Reinforcement, also makes it possible to reduce anchorage length while maintaining the high bond strength needed to replace the hooks or welded transverse reinforcement. Research has shown that the bond strength of bars anchored with Hilti adhesive mortars is higher than that of cast in place bars, provided there is adequate concrete cover. The Hilti HIT Rebar design takes advantage of this increased bond strength in order to achieve anchorage length reductions up to 50% compared to the figures given in the building codes. The Post Installed Rebaring technology of Hilti complies with EC-2, Euro Codes.
This Technology has found its usage in the various critical applications of Metro Rail Project such as:
Diaphragm Wall Sheared Coupler Fixings
- Column Strengthening
- Beam Extensions
- Permanent Pillar Rebar Connections
- Track Rebar Connections
- Parapet Connections …..and Many More
