ACE Launches ACX 750 Crawler Crane

Speaking to P.P.Basistha about the features of the equipment Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, Director, ACE said, "The revolving superstructure of the equipment is all welded, precision machined and is of robust construction. The structure is fabricated with high tensile plates and the machined upper structure houses, main host, boom hoist and auxiliary hoist. The superstructure is mounted on slew bearing and all components are easily accessible for daily maintenance checks and servicing.” ACX 750 has been completely designed and manufactured in house by ACE.

Sharing details on the component line of ACX 750 Mr. Jairaj Sharma, President said, "steel for the product have been sourced from Sumitomo Japan as the requisite standards of steel are locally available to provide necessary strength to the boom or the other parts of the equipment. However, in due course, we would look to replace the imported components with Indian ones.”

ACE Launches ACX 750 Crawler Crane
ACX 750 is powered by Indian Mahindra Navistar, water cooled engine bearing model number 6.12 TCA with rated power of 220 hp @2200 rpm and maximum torque of 980nm @1450rpm. ACX 750 has a 360 degree slewing system.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, about market potential of ACX 750, Mr. Vijay Agarwal Chairman and Managing Director, ACE said, "ACX 750 has been competitively priced at `1 crore 55 lakhs as compared to Chinese, European and Indian products of similar class. Rising inflation has been a challenge for us which has led to escalation in commodity and manpower costs at unprecedented levels. However, we have been quite successful to offer competitively priced products by incorporating sustained improvements in our production line by minimizing wastage and also by incorporating varied aspects lean manufacturing systems.”

He informed, "sustained improvements in manufacturing process based on our experience and altogether the product line have allowed us to provide our flagship product pick-n-carry cranes at competitive prices across fifteen years, ever since when ACE was established. Other wise the cost of the product would have jumped manifold, an attempt which our nearest or remotest competitors could not achieve."

ACE Launches ACX 750 Crawler Crane

Mr. Agarwal told, "cost benefits is well incorporated in the feature of our products as well. For instance, ACX 750 is equipped with hydraulic extendable and retractable tracks for easy transportation and movement within the job sites or beyond it through supporting transportation systems." He informed, "we have attempted to cut down on unnecessary sophistication taking into account the ground job site reality of acute dearth of skilled operators for cranes and other equipment. This has further in turn allowed us to offer economically priced products."

The event was well attended by major contractors and crane rental companies.
