Linden Comansa Cranes at Work in Spain
The University of Navarra, considered at Spain’s top 5 colleges, and the country’s first private university by Spanish media, is building in its Pamplona campus a new edifice that will held the Economics and Law schools, as well as the post graduate programs. It will open at the beginning of 2012 with a total surface of 14.000 m2 and capacity for 1.1.00 alumni.
At the project, a construction company is using three Flat-Top tower cranes from the LC500 series, Linden Comansa’s smallest family, and the most successful in Spain in number of units sold. The three cranes, from the 5LC5010 model, have maximum load of 5 tonnes, jib length of 50 meters and can load up to 1.000 kilos at the jib end. They have been erected at heights of 37.5, 38 and 19.5 meters respectively.
The three rental machines have been painted with the corporate color of the construction company. Algrusa, is the Official Dealer of Linden Comansa since foundation in 1972, and has offices in Pamplona, Barcelona, Madrid, Vizcaya and Badajoz.
With a total budget of 14 million Euros, the new building will also host the Economics Deanery, the Business University of Navarra Foundation and the department of Educational Innovation.
VDR Mutilva is in charge of the construction of the building, whose main characteristics will be flexible on the distribution of spaces, sustainability and energy saving. Architect, Juan Miguel Otxotorena, also teacher at the University’s Architecture School, included to the project some actions so the building can produce and recover energy in respectful ways with the environment, as well as an efficient lighting system, which will save 50% of energy.
