Volvo CE India's Block Handler Crawler Excavator, Compactor & Paver
On display was a new model- the EC300DL Block Handler (BH) Crawler Excavator which is custom-built for the quarry. It is armed with a heavy-duty lower frame and toughened undercarriage components and is powered by Volvo D7E engine.Dimitrov Krishnan Head of Region India, Volvo CE India It is designed to deliver best-in-class productivity while ensuring lower operating costs and overall operator comfort and safety. “The EC300DL BH is just what every quarry contractor is looking for with faster returns on investment and a workhorse that can be relied upon for years,” says Dimitrov Krishnan Head of Region India, Volvo CE India.
Also on display was Volvo EC 480D Excavator with Vibro Ripper – a new introduction for mining industry. It is the most productive and efficient machine in its class. The Vibro Ripper represents a special ‘vibro-isolation’ technology; it protects the excavator from vibration and shock while delivering at least 3X higher productivity with low operations cost compared to hydraulic breakers. “This model will be a game-changer in mining operations and set a new trend,” avers Krishnan.
Alongside these models was an exhibit of Volvo Range of Road Machine Products including SD 110 CD Soil Compactor, P7320 ABG Track Paver and DD 90C Asphalt Compactor. The SD 110 CD Soil Compactor features infinite variable frequencies as standard, offering greater flexibility to the operator to fine-tune performance. The machine’s optimized centrifugal force improves ease of operation and productivity. The Volvo Traction System in the machine delivers excellent climbing capabilities – essential on steep inclines or slippery surfaces. The Compactor can be quickly and easily converted from a smooth drum to a padfoot drum by clamping on a padfoot shell, allowing the machine to work in different applications.
The P7320 ABG Track Paver is Volvo CE’s newest paver range to be launched in India. The unit offers a winning combination of power, production capacity and precision for excellent paving quality with perfectly smooth mats. Fitted with 9m High density Variomatic screed, P7320 Paver offers a high degree of flexibility when frequently changing paving widths. With a Volvo fixed screed, this Paver is proven to be effective when paving up to 700 tons per hour at 9 meters width. This level of throughput makes it versatile enough for a range of applications, including city roads, highways, and waste storage areas.
The DD 90C Asphalt Compactor is highly efficient at delivering quality compaction on any medium- to large-sized asphalt job. It is armed with an automatic water spraying system and a fully adjustable operator station that slides to the side of the cab so that operators can see the edge of the asphalt, making it an extremely safe and operator-friendly machine.
Also on show were Volvo CE blockbusters: the EC 200D Excavator and L 120H Wheel Loader. The machines set new benchmarks in safety, reliability, and fuel efficiency. “These new generation machines, purpose-built for the Indian Market, deliver an unrivalled level of quality in paving and compaction applications. They are engineered for efficiency, easy to operate, promise more uptime and outstanding finish across a range of road projects,” says Krishnan.
