CASE India's product display highlighted its offerings for Urban Construction, Road Building, Infrastructure, and Agriculture applications segments. On display were its new 2050M and 1650L crawler dozers, 845B motor grader, the fuel efficient 770EX loader backhoe, and the upgraded 1107EX Soil Compactor – that holds the title of best-selling compaction equipment in India.
Abhijit Gupta, Brand Leader at CASE India, a brand of CNH Industrial, says, "The Crawler Dozers will mark our next step towards providing best technology in heavy line construction equipment in India. The new 1107EX Soil Compactor will further cement our leadership position in this segment."

The three new dozer models, ranging from 13 to 20 tons operating weight, are powered by a 6.7 litre 6 cylinder engine. The dozers work on the Hydrostatic transmission, introduced for the first time in India, which ensures the dozer is able to deliver maximum pull and push power during turning unlike mechanical transmission. An electro-hydraulic joystick in the cab ensures smooth reversing and steering. The 2050M also features automatic blade functions for increased operator efficiency. The cab can be tilted to provide full access to all main powertrain components. The compactors and backhoe loaders are manufactured at the company's Pithampur plant near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The facility caters to the domestic market and for export to the Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Full product offerings by CASE dealers include financing, extended warranty, maintenance, competitive cost of ownership, parts and technical service.
"The construction industry is on a positive mode, however, the challenge for us is increasing market reach. We will continue to make significant investments in India, and will be bringing more new products in the next 3-4 years. There is demand for intelligent compaction as well but in pockets only and not so widespread as it is more need-based," says Gabriele Lucano, Country Manager, CNH India.
Comments Raunak Varma, CFO, CNH India, "India is a vibrant market which has grown as per road projects being awarded. We are present in both roads and mining sector. In mining the regulations are very stringent with machines running round the clock. The north-east region is one of our core regions, where our backhoe loaders with their robust features have performed very well in the rough terrains."
Lucano informed that the company is also exploring the concept of leasing in India. As regards entering the rental market, he expressed cautiousness as there were too many issues involved. "Typically, we do not do rentals globally. But the Indian market has a lot of potential for rentals, so we are observing the rental market in India. We hope to achieve a lot more in 2017," he says.
